Traditionally held the last Friday night in January, the Annual Gala and Awards Ceremony is the Chamber's premier event designed to honor the outgoing Chairman of the Board along with other retiring Board members, officers, division and committee chairmen. The Annual Gala serves as the backdrop for the inaugural address for the new Chairman of the Board. This formal event is attended by more than 700 people and is held at the Capitol Plaza Hotel.

Awards presented include the William W. Quigg Leadership Award, the Chamber Meritorious Award and the Chairman's Award. The William W. Quigg Award is given to an individual who has demonstrated a lifetime of leadership, vision, and dedication to the community, and the Chamber Meritorious Civic Service Award is presented to an individual who has performed a service bringing honor to the community in the areas of literature, education, music, business, journalism, government and community assistance. The Chairman's Award is presented to a Chamber member who has exemplified the Chamber Spirit by his/her volunteer involvement and leadership in the Chamber.  The Fast Forward Award is given to a young professional making a difference in our community.
