How can Jeff City START help me find an internship?
There are two ways to connect with a potential employer:

  1. Visit the Current Openings tab.  Send your cover letters and resumes directly to the employers who have an internship that you are interested in.
  2. Submit your Resume to be published on our website for potential employers to view/download.

What programing does Jeff City START offer?
A typical year’s events include:  JC101 Intern Summer Kick-off - a half day orientation that incorporates networking opportunities with community leaders and young professionals and a tour of the City, three Lunch & Learns, a YP Lunch Meeting and much more.

What if I participated in Jeff City START last year?
Even if you participated in last year’s program, we encourage you to be involved again this year as each year will be different and offer you new opportunities for networking, professional development, and fun.

Who usually participates in Jeff City START?
Jeff City START program is available to all college, graduate, and law school interns or clerks.   Approximately 50-75 interns participate each year.  Less than half of the participants are originally from JCMO.  Interns come from nearly all public & private institutions in the state, and 10+ generally attend out of state schools.  Students study a wide array of fields including: accounting, architecture, business, computer science, economics, education, engineering, history, journalism, law, political science, public affairs music, nursing, physical therapy and more.
