April 30, 2020
The Jefferson City Area Chamber of Commerce today announced that the Executive Committee of its Board of Directors has appointed Missy Bonnot as President/CEO on an interim basis beginning July 1.
Randy Allen, current President/CEO, announced his retirement in January and will be leaving the Chamber on June 30.
“We are fortunate to have someone of Missy’s experience and tenure with the Chamber to assume this role on a temporary basis,” said Darren Heckman, Chairman of the Board. “The COVID 19 situation has created additional challenges with regards to long term planning for the Chamber and economic development. The Interim appointment will provide additional time to select permanent Chamber leadership.”
Heckman said “Bonnot’s duties will be combined with her current duties as Director of Economic Development for this interim period.”
Bonnot said, “I am honored and excited to take on this role. During this unknown period, the Chamber of Commerce will be more important than ever to assist in the transition to the new business environment.”
