2018 Small Business of the Year
Outbound Physical Therapy & Rehab
Established in 2011 by Jennifer Schnieders, DPT, and Jason Woods, MPT, Outbound Physical Therapy & Rehab offers patients the opportunity to receive therapy services in the environment of their choice and on their own schedule.
Owner and manager Jennifer Schnieders proudly stated that “No other therapy clinic in the Mid-Missouri area provides ‘house calls’ or travels to see patients at work/school when necessary.” Outbound offers a continuum of care from post-injury/surgery phase to return-to-sport training.
She added that Outbound utilizes the best physical therapists and physical therapist assistants Central Missouri has to offer. The staff of 5 full time and 3 part time professionals have the highest qualifications and skills available and are hand-selected because of their expertise and dedication.
Upon opening the clinic, Outbound immediately joined the Jefferson City Area Chamber of Commerce and the National Federation of Independent Business and continues to be a member of several other professional organizations and donates volunteer time and financial contributions to various local charities including the Mid-Missouri Heart Association, Zonta International, American Cancer Society, United Way and many school and parish fundraisers.
Outbound overcomes its greatest challenge to balance decreasing healthcare reimbursements with the increasing costs of providing health care to patients with continued growth, identifying opportunities for cash-based wellness service and constant attention to the laws and regulations that impact reimbursement.
While many other private physical therapy practices in Central Missouri have resorted to joining larger clinics chains due to lack of growth and ability to control costs, Outbound’s growth and success has allowed them to remain privately owned and operated, unaffiliated with any hospital or physician group organization.
Outbound has experienced continued growth since its inception in 2011 resulting in the opening of a new state-of-the-art clinic at 1739 Elm Court in 2015 and posting record numbers of patient visits and new patients in 2018. They attribute this growth to their core philosophy that “exceptional care produces exceptional results.”
