2016 Small Business Academy

The Small Business Academy helps businesses grow by improving the skills of business owners and leaders.  The Academy is a partnership between the Jefferson City Area Chamber of Commerce and the University of Missouri Extension's Business Development Program.

Using a Kauffman Foundation curriculum coupled with peer-to-peer interaction, attendees will be able to grow their business by improving their skills, knowledge and abilities.  

  

 

Program Schedule

The 32-hour curriculum is designed for the primary decision maker of a business.  The curriculum's basic structure is a 2-hour introductory session followed by 10, 3-hour sessions that include couching, discussion, group activities, and peer-to-peer learning.  Guest speakers would also be incorporated into several  of the classes. Sessions will be in the morning from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
