Understanding the need to be competative and progress in the realm of business attraction, the Chamber of Commerce created an Incentive Task Force to develop an incentive policy for new business and industry.

The group came up with a competative incentive plan of 100% tax abatement on real and personal property for 10 years depending on the project needs.
Other Available Incentives:
- A newly designated Enhanced Enterprise Zone (EEZ) incentive program, offered by the Missouri Department of Economic Development, provides tax credits and real property tax abatement to eligible companies creating jobs and investing in qualified areas of the state. Eligible areas within Jefferson City and Cole County are based on demographic criteria, the potential for creating sustainable jobs in the area, and the expected impact on local industry development.

Tax Reductions/Abatements/ Credits of All Types: Historically, Jefferson City and Cole County has participated in Chapter 100 Tax Abatements as well as Tax Increment Financing. The city, county, and chamber are flexible and agressive depending on the needs of a project.
