R.R. Donnelley (formerly Von Hoffmann) Supplies
Educational Textbooks and Catalogs Nationwide
When Von Hoffman Press was acquired by R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company last spring, the Jefferson City facility became part of one of the best known printing brands in the world. The change not only opened the doors for the local facility to serve a broader set of customers, but also created an opportunity to drive increased production.
"RR Donnelley is an important supplier to textbook publishers, both in the United States and abroad," said Rich Dunn, vice president of manufacturing for the Jefferson City facility. "The Jefferson City facility prints hundreds of thousands of textbooks as well as business-to-business catalogs which are distributed across the nation. We also have the advantage of being linked to RR Donnelley's other facilities throughout the world which jointly produce best-selling books, popular magazines, favorite catalogs, phone directories, and the glossy newspaper circulars that shoppers look forward to perusing and clipping."

Dunn said the company's central location in Jefferson City is well suited to meeting RR Donnelley's distribution requirements.
"Jefferson City's central location enables products to reach national destinations quickly, reducing delivery times," Dunn said. "It is also important for us to find skilled and effective employees who have a blend of talented craftsmanship and computer skills. Jefferson City has been able to meet that need for years, first for Von Hoffmann and now for RR Donnelley. It's a great place for us to meet our customers' needs."
RR Donnelley has experienced significant growth in the past five years, and currently boasts 60,000 employees worldwide. Capital expenditures from 2004 to 2006 totaled more than $1.1 billion. The company supports projects and initiatives which increase literacy and encourages its employees to be good corporate citizens.
