Partners in Education News
The Chamber's Partners in Education Program continues to build strong relationships between businesses and schools.
Recently, C&S Business Services, Inc. spoke to Adult Education and Literacy students enrolled in the high school equivalency class, as part of their orientation. Paula Benne spoke about C&S; what they do, types of job openings, how to apply, and what employers are looking for in employees, etc. C&S plans to attend other orientations and possibly offer a tuition scholarship or be an award sponsor. Another great example of a partnership building a stronger relationship.

Two local businesses have joined the Partners in Education program: Flat Branch Home Loans and Jefferson City Medical Group Express Care.

Flat Branch Home Loans has teamed up with Belair Elementary School and JCMG Express Care has partnered with Immaculate Conception School. Representatives from the partnerships have met and made plans for the upcoming school year. Both are looking forward to an engaging and rewarding business-school relationship.
The Partners in Education program promotes the collaboration of the Jefferson City area business and education communities to provide programs that enable students to achieve academic excellence and enhance economic growth with top quality schools.
The partnerships are an exchange of ideas, personnel and available resources which serve to benefit both parties. Participants are mindful that today’s students are tomorrow’s workforce; strong schools benefit the entire community.
If you would like more information on becoming a PIE partner, please contact Dana Struemph at the Chamber, 638-3589 or email@example.com.
